Cancellation Policy

UPDATED BOOKING POLICY, TERMS & CONDITIONS (5/01/23): _____________________________________ 1.BUSINESS NAME ADAPTATION: As of April 10, 2023, Alafia by Remi™: In-Home Pampered Massage, is now “ABR Massage Co.™: The Massage Escape Company,” referred to hereafter as “Alafia,” “Alafia Massage,” and/or “ABR Massage Co.” The below booking policy, terms & conditions are effective as of May 01, 2023. 2.IN-HOME MASSAGES: A. PRICING: Alafia Massage is returning to its original pricing after a full year of providing every home a 33%-Discount coming out of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Any Gift Cards purchased before this date still hold their full value (per gift card terms) and amount may be applied to the balance of Alafia provided services. NOTE: ANY gift certificates that were bought prior to April 10, 2023, will be honored for the specific purchase for which it was made. No additional funds will be required. (If you wish to redeem a gift certificate purchased prior to 4/10/23, please email - alafiabyremi@gmail.com and include: i. your full name ii. gift certificate number and a discount code will be emailed for your use in offsetting the new service price. PLEASE, check expiration date to ensure your gift certificate is still valid. Expired gift certificates will not be redeemable, per prior Gift Certificate Terms & Conditions. B. ADDITIONS: Due to popular request, Alafia has now made it possible to easily add Hot-Stone Therapy, Hot-Towel & Aroma Therapy, and an additional 30 minute to most bookings. C. DISCOUNTS: Alafia may periodically offer discounts on any of its services. Discounts may not be combined with any other promotion(s) or offer(s) unless explicitly expressed. This excludes discounts offered in exchange for client’s willful participation in photo, video, audio-sound bite recording and usage of said media for Alafia’s advertising and marketing distributions, whether physically or electronically, with understanding that there will be no other monetary compensation for usage of such media now nor in the future. Client also understands that Alafia may tastefully use said media indefinitely. Client’s acceptance of the discount for media coverage in this case allows said client to use his/her discount in combination with any other promotions he/she comes across at the time. 3.BUSINESS MASSAGES: A. CLARIFICATION OF TERMINOLOGY: Alafia describes Business Massages as any booking scheduled to either: i. be for its members, staff, employees, partners or volunteers ii. be for its clients iii. take place inside or at a company office/building iv. place of business (ex. office/outdoor venue - park/beach/etc) v. resident business (ex. residence where business is conducted: house/hotel/vacation rental property - airbnb/vrbo/vacay/turnkey/etc) vi. on-location (ie. anywhere else away from regular place of business but business is being conducted at location.) B. PAYMENT OPTIONS: ABR Massage Co. has now developed additional payment options for businesses that will allow for more flexible payment transactions. Businesses may now elect to pay for sessions: i. Online - In Full at Time of Booking ii. Online - Partially at Time of Booking + Balance After Sessions Have Occurred iii. In Person - By Check/Money Order iv. Remotely - By Invoice Businesses deciding to make any portion of the service payment after service start time (whether online, in person or remotely), said business most do so promptly. If business can not make prompt payment, there will be a grace period of 3 calendar days afforded to it. On the 4th calendar day after payment due date, that is the day service was provided, a 10% late fee will be assessed to total due. A 10% fee will also be added to each new balance every 3 calendar days thereafter. If a check is returned and/or is not able to be cashed/bounces, said business will be charged any and all fees associated with the check, including but not limited to, return fees and non-sufficient funds fees, plus a $25 recovery fee for first check and $35 for each subsequent one. C. BONUSES AND DISCOUNTS: Alafia may offer periodic bonuses and discounts. These offers are time and situation specific and do not change the regular terms and booking policy of ABR Massage Co. Offers may not be combined with any other promotions. 4.BEACH MASSAGES: All beach massages include massage therapist’s parking fee. Parking for client is at client’s own expense and must be paid to local beach property or free parking may be sought roadside. Please mind all posted parking laws. Gratuity is accepted and not included in service cost. Location of desired beachfront massage MUST be selected from one of the already predesignated locations provided by ABR Massage Co. with the dropdown menu on the website. Sessions begin at time scheduled, for duration scheduled. Please be mindful to allow enough time for traffic, seeking parking, and walking(a short distance) to your beachfront massage location. ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT LOCATIONS: Due to the popularity of Southern California beaches, some areas of the preselected locations may be overcrowded on day of your massage. In order for client to have best enjoyable experience, set up will still be at preselected location, but may simply be at a slightly different area than anticipated. For this reason, Alafia will text client the precise location upon set up. This does not impede client from traveling to and arriving at preselected location prior to receiving text of precise area. Please be on time. If your session is from 1:00pm-2:00pm and you arrive at massage area at 1:30pm, this means you only have a 30 minute session remaining. If client wishes to extend the session by an additional 30mins in order to have their full hour, client will be responsible for paying the 30min additional service fee. Please note, Alafia may not have the availability to offer the additional 30min session, as other bookings may be taking place right after client’s original session end time. 5.CENTERS (aka PHYSICAL LOCATIONS): Listed physical locations are strictly by appointment only, either by booking available times online through ABR Massage Co. website, Google, Facebook, any other avenue or by phone (818-900-4095). There are NO WALK-IN appointments available. Current location(s) are shared with other health practitioners (chiropractors, acupunctures, Pilates Instructors and/or Aerial Fitness Instructors) who are independent of ABR Massage Co. and will not have any information to properly schedule you for an appropriate Alafia appointment. Please DO NOT disturb location receptionist and/or other practitioners with inquiries of ABR Massage Co. services. Services purchased for use at physical locations (Centers) may be used for any Alafia listed centers. Alafia holds the right to change this policy at any point. 6.PACKAGES & MEMBERSHIPS: A.PACKAGES: All packages may be cancelled prior to usage of first session. A full refund minus appropriate transaction fee will be issued. For additional package terms, please check each packages booking policy and terms & conditions. B.MEMBERSHIPS: All memberships have their individual terms and conditions. Please consult each membership prior to subscribing. 7.RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: A. RESCHEDULING: An individual session (not applicable to businesses, group bookings/events, campsite or yacht bookings) may be rescheduled at any time up to 25 hours prior to session start time with no penalty. (Please do so as soon as you know, in order to allow others the opportunity of booking that session time.) - If session must be rescheduled within 24hrs or day of (incurs a penalty), please give me a call, (818-900-4095) at least 3 hours prior to session start time, to reschedule for a later time or date. -ALL APPOINTMENTS rescheduled on day-of will incur an additional 25% RPM Fee (rescheduling, processing and management fee), due before session begins. Failure to make payment renders the session void and client agrees session fee is considered forfeited, that is, no refund. - NO RESCHEDULING will be honored within 3 hours of session start time. Client agrees session fee in this case is considered forfeited. B. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: -If you must cancel, please do so as soon as you know, to allow someone else the booking opportunity. NOTE: Appropriate transaction fee is subtracted from ALL refunds. -FULL REFUND: will be given if session is cancelled up to 25 hours prior to scheduled session time. (Ex. Jane’s appointment is Sunday, May 14 at 1:00pm. She calls, emails or texts to cancel by Saturday, May 13 at 12:00pm.) -REFUND minus CANCELLATION FEE: will be issued if cancellation occurs within 24hrs or day-of scheduled session (client may want to reschedule session instead). Cancellation fee is 50% of session fee. -NO REFUND: will be issued if session is cancelled within 3 hours of service start time. Client agrees session fee in this case is considered forfeited. C.RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS FOR - businesses, group bookings/events, campsite or yacht bookings -FULL REFUND: Rescheduling and/or Cancellations may be made at any time up to 3 days prior to scheduled appointment time with zero penalty. Note that all refunds will be reduced by appropriate transaction fee. -PARTIAL REFUND (Rescheduling): Any rescheduling of services within 3 days of scheduled appointment start time will be reduced by a 15% late rescheduling fee (aka RPM [rescheduling, processing and management] Fee). -PARTIAL REFUND (Cancellation): Services cancelled within 3 days of scheduled appointment start time will be reduced by a 25% RPM Fee. -NO REFUND: No service may be rescheduled within 24hrs of service start time. These services will be considered cancelled and a new scheduling will be made. No refund will be given for cancelled service and new schedule is subject to regular service fee. In addition, ALL services cancelled within 24hrs of scheduled appointment start time or unused services during appointed block of time scheduled, will receive no refund. Client agrees session fee in these cases are considered forfeited. ABR MASSAGE CO.™ aka Alafia by Remi™ 5/01/2023 ------------------------------------ FOR "MY WEEKEND WINE DOWN" EVENT ONLY ______________________________________________ Cancellations and Refunds: If you must cancel, please do so as soon as possible in order to allow space for other interested parties. Cancellations incur a $50 administration fee and can be made up to 31 days prior to event date. Any cancellation within 30 days of event day will incur a $100 administration fee and the remaining funds will be stored as credit to purchaser for a future "My Weekend Wine Down" or "Alafia by Remi" event.
